Director Global Approbation (m, f, d)

Your Tasks

• VDE, UL, CCC approvals (homologation) including coordination and support towards other relevant bodies
• Ensure that the products comply with the relevant standards in respect to electrical safety and fire hazard
• Maintain the IFM program in relation to the IEC CTF program (laboratory accreditation)
• Take care of non-conformities found at UL or VDE inspection (site related) and ensure related documentation are in place and up to date, maintain constructive dialogue with inspectors
• Create a good personal and professional relationship to 3rd parties to secure proper agreements with authorities and correct priority on our projects
• Participation in relevant standardization work, national and international
• Execute and participate in relevant VDE and UL audit activities, ISO 17025 among others
• Early involvement in new product development projects (NPD) providing relevant input in terms of specification (CRD/PRD), test and validation plans
• Ensure that the agreed time schedules are kept for the approval process
• Be able to interoperate the relevant standards and transfer it to the required demands of product development e.g. medical segment
• Develop and maintain test procedures for UL, VDE Laboratory in cooperation with product development
• Create related documentation for product certification
• Lead the Global Approbation team placed across our sites in Germany, Slovakia, and China
• Owner of the global approval process

Your Qualifications

• University degree in Electronics B. Sc.EE or MSc.EE or similar background, minimum similar technical background in electronics
• Senior experience with approval related work related to control electronics, motor drives
• Good knowledge of analogue and digital hardware principles
• Working experience within motors, controls and compressor systems
