- The browser you use to surf our pages
- Your IP address
- Date and time of your visit
- And the volume of data transferred
An IP address, for example is considered personal data. That is why your IP address is stored in truncated form. Our web server is hosted, so it is hosted in the data center (in Germany) of our service provider Hetzner Online GmbH, Industriestr. 25, 91710 Gunzenhausen, Germany. The web server stores your data for 7 days, after that, the data is automatically deleted. The data will be kept for this period to be able to trace unauthorized access to our web server, from whom this attack originated or where it came from, and to correct errors on the website.
The legal basis for processing data is Art. 6 (1) lit f GDPR. Our “interest” in the sense of Art. 6 (1) lit f is in operating this website and implementing protection measures regarding confidentiality, integrity, and the availability of data.
Google Ads
Our website uses the Google Ads function to draw attention to our products and services with advertisements (ads) on other external websites as part of advertising campaigns. As a result, we gain insights into how successful these campaigns were. Such web campaigns are controlled by the provider Google via its ad server. Cookies are placed on your system for this purpose, which can measure the advertising success of campaigns using parameters. So if you access our website via our website via an advertisement, such a cookie is set. This cookie contains a unique ID assigned to you, which can be used by Google to uniquely identify you. As the provider of these advertising tools, Google receives information about you and which content and websites you access and can recognize you based on your ID in the cookie. Google also receives information about which products you are interested in and will use this information for its own advertising purposes. You can find information on processing by Google at https://policies.google.com/privacy.
Normally, Google marketing tools automatically establish connections with Google's advertising servers. This automated transmission is prevented by our consent tool until you have set the corresponding opt-in. Once the opt-in has been set, the data described above will be transmitted to Google. If you are registered with a Google service, Google can assign the information described above directly to your Google account. The legal basis for the purposes described above is Article 6(1)(a) GDPR, i.e. your opt-in, which corresponds to your consent.
Matomo
The controller uses the Matomo analysis tool on this website for statistical purposes. Matomo is an open source web analysis tool, is operated on our own servers and does not transfer any data to servers outside the control of the controller. Matomo and its analysis functions initially remain deactivated when you visit this website, unless you activate these functions via the corresponding opt-in in the consent tool. Your user behavior will only be analyzed and recorded after you have set the corresponding opt-in.
The analysis of the user behavior of our website visitors gives us insights into which content is of interest to them and how they became aware of us, our website and its content. If you have decided to opt-in, Matomo places a cookie on your system with which you have accessed our website. This cookie is a file that transmits the information collected about your user behavior to the server of the responsible body and is stored there in order to analyze your user behavior. All data from the cookie remains in the exclusive area of use of the responsible body.
Matomo stores the following data
- Time of the opening of the website
- Your IP address (shortened)
- Browser type and version
- Operating system
- Referring URL (previously visited Internet address)
The IP address you are using at the time you access our website is anonymized. The legal basis for the purposes described above is Article 6(1)(a) GDPR, i.e. your opt-in, which is equivalent to consent.
Contact Forms / Salesforce
There are various contact forms on our website so that you can get in touch with us. In order to be able to contact you, personal data such as
- Name
- E-mail address
- Country
- Subject
- Product Category
collected by us.
If you contact us via this contact form, an email is either generated by our web server and sent to our email server or sent from the form directly to our CRM system Salesforce. Information from all contact forms is generally stored in our CRM system Salesforce. Salesforce is a CRM system from the provider Salesforce, Inc (Salesforce Tower, 415 Mission Street, San Francisco, CA 94105, United States).
Salesforce Inc. is a provider from the USA. For the USA, there is an adequacy decision of the EU Commission on the transfer of personal data to the USA within the framework of the Data Privacy Framework (DPF). Salesforce has certified me under the DPF(https://www.dataprivacyframework.gov/list). An agreement has also been concluded with Salesforce on the processing of personal data, which fulfills the requirements of Article 28 GDPR. Further information on data processing at Salesforce can be found at https://www.salesforce.com/company/legal/privacy/.
Salesforce is checked at regular intervals to determine whether data needs to be deleted. If data is no longer required for a customer or prospective customer relationship, it will be deleted unless it is required to fulfill the statutory retention periods.
The legal basis for this data processing is Art. 6 para. 1 lit. b) and f) GDPR. In addition to the initiation of legal transactions, we are interested in communicating with customers and interested parties.
YouTube Videos (currently not in use)
Our website uses plugins from the Google-operated site youtube.com. When you visit one of our pages equipped with a YouTube plugin, a connection to the YouTube servers is established. YouTube servers thus receive information about which websites you have visited. If you also have a YouTube account and are logged into it, you enable YouTube to assign your surfing behavior directly to your personal YouTube profile. You can prevent this by logging out of your YouTube account beforehand.
We use YouTube in the so-called extended data protection mode. According to YouTube, this mode prevents the storage of website visitors' information until they watch an embedded video or click on it. We do not know to what extent the extended data protection mode prevents personal data from actually being passed on to YouTube LLC and its partners. Regardless of whether you start a video, YouTube always establishes a connection to the Google DoubleClick network, as YouTube is part of the Google Group.
For this reason, we have also integrated an opt-in for YouTube into our consent tool, which prevents the transmission of data to YouTube until you have granted the opt-in. When you start a YouTube video, a connection to the YouTube servers is established. This tells the YouTube server which of our pages you have visited. Furthermore, YouTube can store various cookies on your device after you start a video. The cookies remain on your device until you delete them.
We have no influence on this processing by YouTube. YouTube is a Google service and therefore does not have its own privacy policy. The privacy policy for YouTube is Google's privacy policy (https://policies.google.com/privacy).
The use of YouTube on our website is in the interest of an appealing presentation of our online offers and activities, our legitimate interest within the meaning of Art. 6 para. 1 lit. f) GDPR. If an opt-in has been granted, the processing is carried out within the meaning of Art. 6 para. 1 lit. a) GDPR.
Newsletter
We offer you the opportunity to subscribe to our newsletter so that you can stay informed about current product developments or other news. In order to receive the newsletter, we need a valid e-mail address from you. Before you can subscribe to the newsletter, you must confirm that you have read and accepted the newsletter privacy policy.
You will then receive an e-mail with a link to confirm that you really want to subscribe to the newsletter (double opt-in). The link is valid indefinitely.
You can unsubscribe from the newsletter at any time at www.secop.com/updates/newsletter/ You will also find a link to unsubscribe in each newsletter.
The legal basis for processing data is Art. 6 (1) lit f GDPR in conjunction with § 7 UWG. Our “interest” in the sense of Art. 6 (1) lit f is in managing and sending our newsletter.
When you visit our website, LinkedIn (LinkedIn Ireland Unlimited Company Wilton Place, Dublin 2, Ireland) collects information about you, regardless of whether you have a LinkedIn account. If you have a LinkedIn account and are logged into this account, LinkedIn will record your visit to this website and assign it to your LinkedIn profile. The aim of LinkedIn is to display content or advertising tailored to you. A cookie with information about your LinkedIn identifier is also placed on your device, which transmits further information about you, your user behavior and your device to LinkedIn.
You can find out what personal data LinkedIn collects and processes from you in LinkedIn's privacy policy (https://www.linkedin.com/legal/privacy-policy). You can find more information on data protection at LinkedIn at https://privacy.linkedin.com/de-de. You can also find information on LinkedIn cookies here: https://de.linkedin.com/legal/cookie-policy.
We have no influence on this ourselves, but would like to point out that LinkedIn also transfers data to countries outside the EU.

As far as our LinkedIn LinkedIn fan page is concerned, we would like to point out that you use the functions on LinkedIn on your own responsibility. In particular, the use of functions such as commenting, sharing or rating is evaluated by services on the LinkedIn page and used for advertising purposes.
LinkedIn campaigns:
As part of LinkedIn campaigns, tracking and analysis functions from LinkedIn and Matomo are used on our web server. If you reach our website via an ad or as part of a campaign in the LinkedIn network, for example, data on your LinkedIn user profile, the ad placed and the visit to our website will be collected, linked and used by us for advertising purposes. The data collected is used by us to optimize future campaigns.
The use of LinkedIn services and functions on our website is in the interest of optimizing our marketing activities and our customer acquisition within the meaning of Art. 6 para. 1 lit. f) GDPR. If an opt-in has been granted, the processing is carried out within the meaning of Art. 6 para. 1 lit. a) GDPR.
