AURELIUS AG has Acquired Danfoss Household Compressors – 05.11.2010 Final Takeover of Danfoss Household Compressors

Munich-based industrial holding company AURELIUS AG has acquired Danfoss Household Compressors from the Danfoss Group, Denmark. The agreement to take over the Danfoss Household Compressors business was signed in July 2010 and the deal has now been closed. The company will conduct its business under the new name of Secop from 29th of November.

The agreement to acquire Danfoss Household Compressors was signed in July this year between AURELIUS AG and the Danfoss Group. The final takeover was subject to approval by various competition authorities, which all have given their consent and the deal has now officially been closed.

In connection with the new ownership Danfoss Household Compressors will change its name to Secop effective by 29th November 2010. Secop will under its new ownership remain a close, long-term partner of the Danfoss Group, as it will continue to sell a major part of its products and solutions through the Danfoss Group and its sales companies - mainly within the light commercial market segment.

“With more than 50 years experience in compressor technology and highly committed employees, our focus is to develop and apply the advanced compressor technologies to achieve standard setting performance for leading products and businesses around the world” says Mogens Søholm, Managing Director Danfoss Household Compressors. “With AURELIUS as our new shareholder we have found a good partner, who will support us in further developing and growing our business.”

Following this announcement, Danfoss Household Compressors will be presenting an entirely new brand and visual identity building on its rich heritage and vision of the future. This will be published within November 2010, after it has been presented to employees at all sites in Germany, China, Slovakia and Slovenia. A separate announcement will be made after this event.
