Flensburg, Germany – Secop GmbH is proud to announce that the BD Nano compressor, a key component in the “Slim-Fit” cooling unit, has contributed to Indel Webasto Marine’s victory at the 2024 DAME Design Award in the "Comfort and Entertainment Afloat" category. The winners of the 33rd edition of the DAME Design Awards were announced during the Breakfast Briefing before the opening of the METSTRADE show on Tuesday, November 19.
Indel Webasto Marine’s Slim-Fit cooling unit was recognized in the category dedicated to onboard comfort for its innovative design and ease of installation. The BD Nano compressor is an essential component that combines energy efficiency, quiet operation, and high-level cooling performance with the unique advantage of a compact design, enabling seamless integration even in tight spaces.
The DAME Design Awards jury highlighted the importance of the pre-connected evaporator integrated with the compressor and charged with eco-friendly R600a refrigerant, a solution that significantly reduces the risk of flammable gas leaks thanks to its fully sealed system. The BD Nano compressor has contributed to this success thanks to its cutting-edge technology and ability to respond to the sustainability and practicality demands required by the market. The innovative ‘Slim-Fit’ has been designed by Indel B and is patent pending.
